ECHO & TMT

Echocardiography

Echocardiography is a non-invasive ultrasound test that evaluates heart chambers, valves, pumping efficiency, and blood flow. It plays a vital role in diagnosing heart failure, valve disease, and structural heart conditions.

At SIMS Hospital, advanced echocardiography plays a critical role in diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as heart failure, valve disorders, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and structural abnormalities. The test is safe for patients of all age groups and is often used for both initial diagnosis and long-term follow-up.

ECHO helps cardiologists make accurate treatment decisions and track heart health progression over time.

Treadmill Test (TMT)

The Treadmill Test is a cardiac stress test designed to evaluate how the heart responds to physical exertion. During the test, heart rate, blood pressure, and electrical activity are continuously monitored while the patient walks on a treadmill under controlled conditions.

TMT is commonly used to detect coronary artery disease, exercise-induced heart rhythm abnormalities, and reduced blood supply to the heart. It is especially helpful for patients experiencing chest pain, breathlessness, or unexplained fatigue during physical activity.

At SIMS Hospital, TMT is conducted under expert supervision to ensure patient safety and accurate assessment of heart performance under stress.
